Internationally renowned artist Anthony Schrag comes to Aberdeen to deliver a series of publicly-engaged art events exploring the journey that Aberdeen Art Gallery's collection will take from its current home on Schoolhill to the new Museum Collections Centre in Northfield.
From climbing a gallery wall or scaling a drainpipe to rolling down a grassy hill, Anthony Schrag’s exhibitions and projects are centred on live events rather than objects such as paintings or sculptures. He uses sport and physicality as a method of creative engagement, and will be taking art and creativity into public spaces and unexpected locations across the city. The action will be filmed as it takes place and later displayed in Aberdeen Art Gallery.
