Cheval de McAdam The artist wearing his assembled portable Cheval de Frise

Open Dialogues exhibitor Stuart McAdam will mark the end of his presentation for Open Dialogues at the Royal Scottish Academy by assembling his "portable cheval de frise" and taking it for a walk round Edinburgh's Princes Street and Royal Mile. He will assemble it outside the gallery at 3pm on the 30th August and would be pleased for you to join him on this action.

The portable cheval de frise was created as a response to his fear of cows, and as part of an ongoing series of investigations and responses to barriers and boundaries in the countryside.
